Last August 7-8; 14-15, 6 debaters competed in WolCE’s Asian Schools Debating Championship 2021 held via Zoom.
Following grueling preliminary rounds on the first two days. All Zobel teams broke and advanced to the out rounds. With:
- DLSZ 1 (Sering) breaking eleventh in the Open Cup with four wins.
- DLSZ 2 (Aguto, Pineda, Lachaona) breaking eighth in the Open Category with four wins
- DLSZ 3 (Ronquillo, Tan) breaking first in the Open Category with six wins
The elimination rounds teams continued to be more arduous than the preliminary rounds. In each break round, only one out of the two teams in each room would advance. The following are the outround reachings of each team:
- DLSZ 1 (Sering) ended her run as Asian Octo Finalists.
- DLSZ 2 (Aguto, Pineda, Lachaona) ended their run as Asian Quarterfinalists
- DLSZ 3 (Ronquillo, Tan) ended their run as Asian Octo Finalists.
