BIG WINS FOR DLSZ GS MATHLETES AMIDST PANDEMIC

DLSZ GS mathletes worked non-stop to prepare themselves to join both international and local competitions which started during this year’s summer break. Their dedication to pursue their love for Math never ended and, in some ways, even increased as their way to overcome the life limitations brought about by the current pandemic. 

DLSZ GS Mathletes won a total of 22 awards including 4 Gold, 1 Silver, 11 Bronze and 6 Credit in the just concluded 2020 International Kangaroo Mathematics Olympiad (IKMC) – Philippines conducted online last June 27, 2020.

Five GS Mathletes were able to bring home Bronze medals at the 2020 Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Open (AIMO) held last August 2, 2020. These Mathletes are Kenzie Timothy Ong, Lucas Antoine Aldave, John Iain Iñigo Aguada, Joshua Milan and Aldrich Johan Kimwell.

DLSZ GS Mathletes also won in the Math Without Borders (MWB) 2020 Finals last August 16, 2020. Ibarra Lee Coro, Matt Gerard Navarro and Joshua Milan garnered silver awards while Lucas Antoine Aldave won bronze awards. Moreover, Andrea Ancheta, Javier Sandrino Reyes, Gian Gabriel Ignacio, John Iain Iñigo Aguada, Emmanuel Jace Savellano, Gian Louis Valenciano and Aldrich Johan Kimwell received certificates.

Several Mathletes also joined and won the Asian Science and Math Olympiad (ASMO) conducted last August 22, 2020. Here are the Mathletes Awardees:

Last August 30, 2020, Mathletes joined the 2020 Asia Mathematics Olympics (AMO). Allen Atom Mateo Abrojena brought home silver awards. On the other hand, John Iain Iñigo Aguda and Aldrich Johan Kimwell won bronze awards.

The 16th International Mathematics Competition-Singapore (IMCSG) was conducted online last September 5, 2020. Joshua Milan won gold awards, while Kenzie Timothy Ong and Aldrich Johan Kimwell won bronze awards.

Last September 12, 2020, Mathletes also joined the 2020 New Hope Cup Math Invitational Competition. John Iain Iñigo Aguada won gold, Christian Malabanan won silver, and Bernardo Escalona won bronze.

Kenzie Timothy Ong brought home the bronze awards in the Pan-Asia Pacific (PAP) International Mathematics Competition held last September 26, 2020.
