DLSZ TRIATHLON TEAM PARTICIPATE IN THE HISTORIC NEW CLARK CITY TRIATHLON

DLSZ deployed its very own home-grown triathletes in the NCC TRIATHLON on October 19 and 20. The said race is the inaugural event of the world-class facilities of the New Clark City Aquatic Center and Athletic Stadium, where the Southeast Asian Games 2019 will be held.

More than 700 participants of the NCC Triathlon were the first to use the pools at the Aquatics Center and the track oval at the Athletics Stadium.

DLSZ Triathletes from several levels prepared hard for this historical race. All tri-team members finished strong with Isabel Peralta (DLSZ 2022) claiming a 3rd place podium finish in the 15-19-year-old Tri-Sprint category, completing 450-meters swim, 20-kilometers bike ride and 4-kilometers run.

It was a pride-filled moment as the triathletes who competed in NCC Tri-Kids: Luis Gaspar (DLSZ 2023), Joaquin Rivera (DLSZ 2023), Gabriel Torreda (DLSZ 2023), Nico Suarez (DLSZ 2024), Cjeshyl Tuppil (DLSZ 2024), Giro Gito (DLSZ 2027); and Tri-Sprint: Frans Go (DLSZ 2021), Ryan Vasquez (DLSZ 2021), Joshua Cervantes (DLSZ 2022), Roberto Kanapi (DLSZ 2022), Lorenzo Solda (DLSZ 2022), and Isabel Peralta (DLSZ 2022) wore the the La Sallian colors in their suits and raced to bring honor to their beloved De La Salle Zobel School.

Capping off the historical event is the 1st place podium finish of the team’s coach and veteran triathlete, Noel Salvador in the NCC Tri-Full category.

Congratulations to all DLSZ Triathletes! Animo!
