ISTS Advisories: iOS 13, DLSZ-WiFi, Student Portal, Notes & Homework

IOS 13
Apple’s next major release of firmware for iPads and iPhones (iOS 13) will be released sometime this September 2019. However, the school strongly advises all Apple iPad users to hold-off updating immediately after the official release. It is usually recommended to upgrade after the next minor release (e.g. 13.1) to allow Apple to sort out any bugs and upgrade issues.
CONNECT TO DLSZ-WiFi
All students and DLSZ employees are advised to connect their devices to the DLSZ-WiFi network using their dlszobel username and password. The DLSZ-Students network will be deactivated by October 1, 2019.
STUDENT PORTAL
A new Student Portal is now accessible via https://students.dlszobel.edu.ph. Students can log-in with their dlszobel email address and password. Among the initial features of the Portal includes a more personalized Notes & Homework, which will only show the posts and announcements for your own level and section. The portal also allows students to change their dlszobel account passwords. More features will be added in the future.
NOTES & HOMEWORK – FAMILY PORTAL
Personalized Notes & Homework announcements are also available in the Family Portal (https://family.dlszobel.edu.ph). Parents and Guardians should only see posts specific to their children’s level and section. The old Notes and Homework website (http://notes.dlszobel.edu.ph), will be taken offline by January 6, 2020.
