Our GS mathletes are part of the Philippine delegation composing of students from kindergarten to senior high school who bagged 184 medals and two trophies from the said competition. Competing against 21 countries from the various sides of the globe, these young Filipino prides emerged in the Asia-Pacific Import Mart (AIM) in Fukuoka with 10 diamond, 38 gold, 44 silver and 57 bronze medals after two rounds of the comprehensive written competition while 32 kids received merit awards.
Now on its 7th year, WMI Finals is held in different countries every year.  WMI Founder and Executive Chairman Tsai Kun Lung said that a total of 1500 students from 21 countries namely Japan, Australia, Bulgaria, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Singapore, Turkey, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Vietnam, and the Philippines, participated in the said competition.
In this feat, Milan got a diamond medal – one of the highest recognition in the competition. Bernas and Navarro are gold medalists while Valenciano and Savellano raked in silver medals.
