During 2019, the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and the Lasallian Family will celebrate the 300th anniversary of the death of our founder, Saint John Baptist de La Salle, Patron Saint of Teachers. The Institute has designated 2019 as the Year of Lasallian Vocations.
Throughout the world, events and celebrations are being planned to honour our common heritage of providing a human and Christian education to the young, and the poor, and to promote the vocation of the educational ministry.
The De La Salle Philippines has partnered with Pinoy Aspiring Runners (PAR) and De La Salle Santiago Zobel School will host the first event of the year that will bring the Philippine Lasallian community together for a 3-5-10 kilometer family fun run entitled TakBro! It aims to gather 3,000 Lasallians, and non-Lasallians alike in an active morning of fun at Vermosa.
#TakBro2019 will be held in Vermosa Estate, Imus, Cavite on January 27, 2019 (Sunday). Assembly time is at 4:00 AM. Gun start for the 10 km route is at 6:00 AM followed by the 5 km and 3 km categories.
Proceeds will go to the professional development of the teachers from the three priority schools of De La Salle Philippines namely St. Joseph School – La Salle (Bacolod), De La Salle Andres Soriano Memorial College (Cebu), and De La Salle John Bosco College (Bislig).
