On September 25, 2018, De La Salle Santiago Zobel (DLSZ) will join the Global Day to #Act4SDGs. It is a day of action to commemorate the historic adoption of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)–17 goals that define a universal call to action to end poverty and inequality, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. It is also a day to mobilize thousands of institutions, organizations and citizens take concrete actions, reaffirming the shared global commitment to the achievement of the SDGs. On this day, we will show around the world the great things students, teachers, and the whole community do believing that every second, there is someone somewhere moving the SDGs forward.
In line with this, we are inviting the whole Lasallian community to participate in this noble cause by bringing empty Tetra Pak cartons and electronic waste on September 25, 2018. This is in support of Project E.A.R.T.H.- Each Act of 5Rs Today Helps (SDG#12). The proceeds of the project will go to De La Salle Philippines Project: Zero Extreme Poverty (ZEP) 2030 (SDG#1). There will be designated areas for depositing the cartons and electronic waste: Gates 2 and 6 for the Tetra Pak cartons and Gate 2 covered walk for the electronic waste.
