De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) was awarded as the Overall Outstanding Promoters Chapter during the annual Best Buddies Leadership Conference at University of Indiana last July 17-20, 2015. DLSZ was the first international chapter that was given an Overall Outstanding Chapter award.
Prior to this international recognition, Best Buddies Philippines had chosen the school as their Outstanding Chapter out of the five chapters in Manila.
The Best Buddies committee was impressed by “the impact that DLSZ was making on their school and community in regards to disabilities and acceptance”. According to them, DLSZ students lead the mission of inclusion by educating people, raising awareness, and making a difference in their school and community.
