Christmas Starts Early in DLSZ

The Christmas spirit is present and vividly felt in De La Salle Santiago Zobel School as each and everyone of the students, Lasallian partners, parents, alumni, friends, and numerous anonymous donors join hands in helping and giving to the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda in more ways than one.
Since the outbreak of this disaster, the outpour of help and support from the different sectors of the Lasallian community can be eagerly felt. Truly, this calamity has awakened and ignited the spirit of giving thru “bayanihan”, generosity, and volunteerism among individuals, young and old.
Christmas, being the season of hope, affirms our belief that there is a loving God who unconditionally loves us and provides for us and this is further manifested through the many strangers from all over the world who have donated cash and goods and have offered their time or expertise in helping alleviate the sufferings of the Yolanda survivors.   The recent calamity may have caused death, displaced families, and crushed homes to the ground but  it awakened in us the spirit of giving and sympathetic heart for the suffering.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the only One who can save us all, let us continue to be a source of light to others, a ray of hope to those who feel hopeless, a source of strength to the weak and the wounded.
In response to this call and to have a heartfelt celebration of the season, the DLSZ administration, faculty, staff, and administrative service personnel have unanimously decided to forego the Institutional Christmas Party and Christmas packs, then all savings will be donated to the relief efforts and rehabilitation of affected Visayan provinces.
Indeed, Christmas is in the air at DLSZ!
