In line with De La Salle Santiago Zobel’s vision of promoting the importance of literacy and love for reading, Junior Prep to Grade 7 parents are cordially invited to attend the Parent Education Seminar, which will be held at the Sylvia P. Lina Theater on October 23, 2012, Tuesday from 9:00am to 11:00am. Registration will start at 8:30am. The speaker is Ms. Cecille Jacinto, Scholastic Training Manager. The topic that shall be covered is “Developmental Stages of Reading and Motivating Your Child to Read at Homeâ€.
This is part of the Assessment and Enrichment Program which was launched by the Learning Resource Center and Grade School Reading Department, in partnership with Scholastic. This program aims to motivate children to read, build confidence in themselves and empower them to be learners for life. The program includes Reading Program, Professional Development, Program Conference, Parent Involvement and Reading Center.Â
