DLSZ Students Shine in Coding Competitions

Congratulations to the outstanding DLSZ students who earned prestigious medals and distinctions at both the Southeast Asia Computer Science Olympiad (SEACSO) held on March 5-9, 2026 in Tagaytay City, and the online Coding Olympiad last November 2025 – March 2026.

The students recently demonstrated exceptional coding proficiency in both high-level computer science competitions, marking a significant achievement for the school on the international stage. These competitions challenged students to solve complex algorithmic problems and demonstrate advanced programming logic under rigorous time constraints.

Honorable Mention (Coding Olympiad Grand Finals):

  • Jun Jangao Kaga (DLSZ 2027)- Qualified
  • Gabriel Mateo Javier (DLSZ 2033) – Qualified 
  • Joachim Miguel Rodriguez (DLSZ 2033) – Qualified
  • Kirsten George Malayao (DLSZ 2033) – Qualified
  • Tyler Grey Ceriola (DLSZ 2035) – Qualified

 

Coaches Mr. Neil Christian Capanzana, Ms. Kathleen Mae Labad Labad, and Ms. Sharmiel Suson provided the technical mentorship and strategic preparation necessary for the students to navigate through the competitions.

This success reinforces the school’s standing as a leading institution in STEM education and competitive programming. By securing these medals, the students have not only brought pride to the school but also highlighted the growing capability of Filipino youth in the global computer science landscape.
