Four (4) Esteemed STEM (ES) members emerged as champions in the recently concluded GEOID Quiz 2025 held last October 19, 2025, at the University of the Philippines Diliman. The annual academic competition gathered the brightest young minds across the nation to showcase their knowledge in Mathematics, Geology, Biology, Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry, and Current Events.

The winning DLSZ team, composed of Hernando Stefan Amisola III (DLSZ 2027), Art Samuel Aycardo (DLSZ 2027), Paulie Anjelique Soliva (DLSZ 2027), and Ivarika Ynafleure Lapuz (DLSZ 2027), demonstrated outstanding teamwork, quick thinking, and scientific reasoning throughout the competition. Notably, Hernando Stefan Amisola III earned recognition as the Mathematics Top Scorer in the Elimination Round, outscoring all other participants in the competition, highlighting his exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills that helped propel the team to victory.

Joining our students in the Top 5 finalists were strong contenders from some of the country’s leading science institutions: Philippine Science High School – Main Campus (2nd and 3rd place), Philippine Science High School – Central Luzon Campus, and Cavite National High School.

The young champions were guided by their coaches, namely, Ms. Stephanie Anne Gimongala, Mr. Patrick Padolina, Mr. Carl Maurice Francisco, and Mr. Mark Xyburt John Rodelas, whose expert mentorship and encouragement played a vital role in ensuring the team acquired the knowledge as well as confidence and composure needed to excel in high-stakes academic competitions.

The Lasallian community proudly celebrates this achievement as a testament to the school’s strong STEM program and its mission to cultivate learners who are competent, compassionate, and committed to advancing knowledge and serving society through science and innovation.

Animo La Salle!
