On February 8, 2025, members of the De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) Robotics Elite Team (RET) took on the challenge of participating in the 14th FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Philippines 2025 at Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc. in Bocaue, Bulacan.
The event witfully titled, “Submerged” tackled real-world issues related to our oceans and water resources and featured an underwater-themed adventure aimed at exploring the mysteries and challenges beneath the waves. Top schools and universities from different parts of the country developed innovative solutions to protect and preserve water resources.
The place was filled with both excitement and anxiety as the teams battled in the robot games and the innovation category. The group presented and articulated their ideas to a distinguished panel of judges, showcasing creativity and ingenuity that brought out the best among the competing teams.
The team gained valuable experience in the competition and is positively looking forward to gaining more success in future competitions.
Congratulations to the team and their coaches, Mr. Norlito Bautista, Mr. Mark Denver Bernardo, Mr. Franc Andre Dimatatac, Mr. Christian Andrei Cleofe, Mr. Rica Paming, and Ms. Erika Precia.
On the other hand, the DLSZ Explore Team and DLSZ TEAM A members will represent the Philippines in the upcoming First Lego League Hong Kong Regionals on July 26-27, 2025.
