Another Win for the DLSZ Triathlon Team, Securing Multiple Podium Wins in Subic Bay

Congratulations to our DLSZ Triathlon Team for their remarkable performances at Pho3nix Kids Philippines Leg 1 2025 (Day 1) and TriFactor Philippines 2025 (Day 2), held last February 15 and February 16, 2025, respectively, in Subic Bay Freeport, Zambales. 

Pho3nix Kids Philippines Leg 1 2025– Day 1 Highlights

Oliver Kurt Alingarog (DLSZ 2032)
1st Runner-Up, Advance Triathlon 10-11 Male Category

• Kurt demonstrated resilience, completing a 200m swim in 6:43 (3:22/100m), a 5km bike in 11:26 (26.2 kph), and a 1.5km run in 7:56 (5:17 min/km), securing 1st Runner-Up with a total time of 26:06.

Jaime Santino Cuyno (DLSZ 2027)
2nd Runner-Up, Advance Duathlon 10-11 Male Category

• Niño showed great endurance, finishing his 10km bike in 17:38 (34.0 kph) and a 3km run in 16:01 (5:20 min/km), achieving 2nd Runner-Up with a total time of 33:29.

Enrique Jose De La Rosa (DLSZ 2034)
2nd Runner-Up, Advance Triathlon 8-9 Male Category

• Enrique displayed impressive determination, completing his 100m swim in 6:05 (6:05/100m), a 3km bike in 10:10 (17.7 kph), and an 800m run in 5:54 (7:22 min/km), earning 2nd Runner-Up with a total time of 16:35.

TriFactor Philippines 2025 – Day 2 Highlights

Gabrielle Vera Guevara (DLSZ 2025)
Champion, Aquacycle Female Open Category

• Vera delivered a stellar performance, dominating the Aquacycle Female Open Category and securing the Champion title. She completed a 1.5km swim time of 34:09 (2:16/100m) and a 40km bike split of 1:23:22 (28.8 kph), finishing with a total time of 1:58:42.

Dirk Riley Ron Guyala (DLSZ 2025), Coach Noel Salvador, Javier Alejandro Cuyno (DLSZ 2025)
Champion, Team Relay All Male Category

• Javi set the tone for the team with a strong 1.5km swim time of 27:38 (1:50/100m), followed by Coach Noel’s 40km bike split of 1:05:03 (36.9 kph, the fastest of the race). Dirk closed the race with a blazing 10km run of 44:17 (4:26 min/km, fastest of the race), securing the Champion title with a total time of 2:19:04.

We also recognize the outstanding efforts of our triathletes who gave it their all in their respective categories in the Pho3nix Kids Philippines Leg 1 2025. Though course challenges affected their final placements, they showed great composure, determination, and the heart of a champion.

The participation of Jessica James Carlos (DLSZ 2008) and a proud parent of a DLSZ Triathlon Team athlete also performed remarkably in the Aquacycle Female Open Category, securing 1st Runner-Up. Her strong showing serves as an inspiration to the young triathletes, proving that the Animo spirit carries on beyond student-athlete years.

These outstanding results were achieved under the guidance of DLSZ Triathlon Head Coach Noel Salvador. 

This latest win marks yet another milestone in the DLSZ Triteam’s journey of Lasallian excellence. Having already secured victories in major races, their consistent performance highlights the dedication, rigorous training, and strategic approach that set them apart from the competition.
