Our DLSZ Taekwondo team, representing Muntinlupa, showcased their exceptional skills at the 2025 Muntinlupa Division Taekwondo Meet held at the DLSZ Gym 3, bringing home a total of seven (7) gold, one (1) silver, and two (2) bronze medals across various categories.

10th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championships 2024 in Singapore

The DLSZ Taekwondo team made a significant impact at the 10th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championships 2024, held at Our Tampines Hub, Singapore. Competing on the international stage, DLSZ athletes displayed remarkable skill and determination, securing impressive results across multiple categories.

Paul Sebastian Alcantara (DLSZ 2029)

• Paul had an exceptional run in the tournament, earning a silver medal in Virtual Sparring and a bronze medal in Kyorugi. His ability to excel in both disciplines demonstrates his versatility and competitive edge.

Sage Kenshin Santiago (DLSZ 2032)

• Sage earned a silver medal in Kyorugi and a bronze medal in Poomsae, showcasing her technical ability and commitment to both sparring and forms. His consistent performances reflect his dedication and growth in the sport.

Samon Therese Santiago (DLSZ 2035)

• Samon also delivered outstanding results, capturing a silver medal in Kyorugi and a bronze medal in Poomsae. Her ability to succeed in both sparring and Poomsae solidifies her as a well-rounded and talented athlete.

Their exceptional performances strengthen the DLSZ Taekwondo team’s standing and showcase the depth of talent within the program.

The DLSZ Taekwondo team made an impressive showing at the 2024 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation Muntinlupa Age Group Taekwondo Championships held at the SM Center Muntinlupa City. The event, which featured both Kyorugi (sparring) and Poomsae competitions saw the DLSZ Taekwondo team claim numerous medals across multiple categories.

2024 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation National Age Group Taekwondo Championships

November 16-17, 2024

The DLSZ Taekwondo proudly participated in the 2024 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation National Age Group Taekwondo Championships held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. This prestigious event gathered the country’s top young athletes in the sport of Taekwondo, showcasing their skills in the Kyorugi (sparring) category.

Gold: Zane Marius Sarmiento Pua (DLSZ 2034) and Samon Therese Kitongan Santiago (DLSZ 2035)  

In addition to the gold medalists, DLSZ was represented by a talented group of participants who demonstrated resilience and sportsmanship throughout the competition. These athletes included:

The DLSZ Taekwondo team delivered remarkable performances at the 2024 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation National Age Group Taekwondo Championships (Poomsae), held at the Badminton Hall, Rizal Memorial Sports Complex. The event brought together top Taekwondo athletes from across the country to compete in both team and individual Poomsae categories.

Bronze: Aleana Nicole Nicolas (DLSZ 2031) and Mary Josephine Bocaling (DLSZ 2031) showcased exceptional teamwork for their synchronized performance. Their precision and dedication earned them a place on the podium.

2024 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation National Best of the Best Taekwondo Championships

September 7-8, 2024

The DLSZ Taekwondo proudly participated in the 2024 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation National Best of the Best Taekwondo Championships, held at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. This prestigious event gathered the nation’s top Taekwondo athletes, and DLSZ was well represented with outstanding performances.

Mchraine Lloyd Castillano Velasquez (DLSZ 2028) and Paul Sebastian Batula Alcantara (DLSZ 2029) both secured silver medals in their respective divisions, showcasing their dedication and skill on the national stage.

In addition, Prince John Ryan Salinas (DLSZ 2027) participated in the competition, representing the school with great sportsmanship and determination.

The 2024 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation National Best of the Best Taekwondo Championships provided an invaluable opportunity for DLSZ athletes to compete against the country’s best, further developing their skills and gaining valuable experience.

DLSZ continues to support its Taekwondo athletes as they strive for excellence both on and off the mat.
