In the recently concluded Tri Meet (La Salle, Ateneo and UP) Indoor Archery Competition, Andrea Catalina Pardo Orbeta (DLSZ 2013) hauled two gold medals and a silver medal in the qualifying round, olympic round, and team event respectively held last September 23, 2012 at De La Salle University in Taft, Manila.
Andrea competed against 18 women archers in the qualifying while her tandem with Gino Quinio from DLSU landed them in second place, losing only by one point.
“This was Andrea’s first indoor archery event. She normally competes outdoor 40-70 meters, so this was a big change for her. I am glad she did very well,†shared Mrs. Yvette Orbeta, Andrea’s mother.
She is set to compete in another tournament next week at the Manila Polo Club as she is also part of their Archery Team.
Congratulations, Andrea! Animo La Salle!
