DLSZ proudly congratulates Tyrhone James Tabernilla (DLSZ 2026), who emerged as the Board 1 Gold Medalist (High School Boys Division) at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Standard Chess Tournament last September 28 – October 19, 2025 at the Adamson University Gymnasium, Manila.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

This remarkable achievement not only highlights Tyrhone\u2019s exceptional talent in chess but also brings honor and pride to DLSZ on the UAAP stage.<\/p>\n\n

Moving forward, TJ will be competing in the Ozamis ASEAN+ Individual Chess Championship on November 2-10, 2025 in Ozamis, Misamis Occidental. Together with the DLSZ Chess Team, they will participate in the Philippine Athletic Youth Association (PAYA),\u00a0 Inter Scholastic Sports Association (ISSA), and University Athletic Association of the Philippines Blitz Event (UAAP) this Academic Year 2025-2026.<\/p>\n\n
