The DLSZ Goals for Excellence in Mathematics (GEM) Program continues to showcase its commitment to excellence, as our Mathletes proudly represented not only the school but also the Philippines in numerous international competitions namely, Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC), World Mathematics Olympiad (WMO), World Mathematics Invitational (WMI), and Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) from July to August 2025. These young Lasallians demonstrated exceptional skill, grit, and mathematical prowess, earning awards and recognition on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) Finals 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Capping off this remarkable series of achievements, Francesca Violet Icay (DLSZ 2028) earned a Bronze Award last August 2\u20136, 2025 in Japan. Representing the country as part of the PhilBrain Delegates, they faced off against top-performing math students from around the world. The event brought together 3,500 students from 21 countries and territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remarkable accomplishments of our GEM Mathletes stand as a testament to their unwavering pursuit of excellence. Their success reflects not only their individual brilliance but also the bright promise of today\u2019s young problem-solvers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World Mathematics Olympiad (WMO) 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Following this, Kenzie Timothy Ong (DLSZ 2029) achieved a Bronze Award last July 25\u201328, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Kenzie exhibited his determination and mathematical excellence as part of the Philippine team in this renowned competition, which drew participants coming from countries such as China, USA, Canada, Hongkong, and many more vying for the top spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World Mathematics Invitational (WMI) Finals 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Harmony Chrysa Suarez (DLSZ 2036) showcased her skill and brilliance, earning a Silver Award last July 25\u201329, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. Chrysa was part of the Philippine delegation that garnered a total of 234 awards in the Final Round of the WMI, where 1,700 students from 23 countries participated. The WMI is a prestigious competition that brings together exceptional young mathematicians from across the globe, including the United States, China, Korea, the Philippines, and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

DLSZ commends Eivan Nathaniel Dura (DLSZ 2028) on receiving an Honorable Mention Award last July 5\u20138, 2025. Eivan was one of the 35-member of the Philippine delegation, which competed against other talented young mathematicians from many countries, displaying mathematical skills on a high-caliber stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
