Students from the DLSZ Robotics Elite Team, proudly participated in the 26th International Robot Olympiad (IRO) last January 16-21, 2025 in Busan, South Korea. The competition featured 15 categories across 35 divisions, including exciting challenges like AI Autonomous Driving, AI Hubot, and Smart Farming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Arwen Kayleb Dominguez (DLSZ 2027), Raven Esteban Rosales (DLSZ 2027), Wano Wish Pazon (DLSZ 2029), and Denielle Adriane Blanco (DLSZ 2029), this was their first-ever international robotics competition. With only a few weeks to prepare, they bravely took on the Creative Category \u2013 Idea\/Technic and Mission Challenge. Meanwhile, Miggy Drew Torres (DLSZ 2033)  competed in the Tag Out \u2013 Standard and Tag Out \u2013 Expansion divisions, with support from Coaches Mark Denver Bernardo and Jholan Torres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition was intense, with students facing participants from 20 different countries. Despite the cold weather, they gave their best effort, showing skill, creativity, and determination. In the end, the team received participation medals and was recognized by the Philippine Robotics Team with the IRO Robotics Excellence Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over 3,400 participants, this year\u2019s International Robot Olympiad was the biggest since it started in 1999. It continues to be a great opportunity for young minds to learn, innovate, and compete on the global stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
