While waiting to play in tournaments that will allow them to represent their beloved alma mater, the DLSZ Minors-Division baseball players proudly donned jerseys in green and white under the team name, Greenstar-BAA (Barangay Ayala Alabang) in the recently concluded Muntinlupa Baseball and Softball Classic (MBSC) 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the tournament held from September 17 to October 2, 2022 in Alabang Country Club, Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City, 11 of our homegrown Lasallian baseball team members played their hearts out, trying to out-best teams from several barangays in Muntinlupa, Dasmari\u00f1as and Pasig City, bagging a third (3rd) place finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations, to these Lasallian athletes from DLSZ 2031:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucas Amante, Luke Canta, Benito Cu-Unjieng, Miguel delos Santos, Javier Gatmaitan, John Guevara, Matteo Isaac, Ethan Padilla, Paco Peralta, Gabriel Recto, Zeik Stehmeier<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFinishing on the podium was not an easy feat! We played against teams who have been training face to face longer longer than we did. But in weeks leading to the tournament, we felt the boys\u2019 determination to win. They consistently showed up in our training sessions, rain or shine,\u201d<\/em> Coach Edward Flores, the team\u2019s head coach says about his trainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coach Gil Encarnado, assistant head coach adds, \u201cNakita namin ni Coach Ed sa mga mata nila na gustong gusto talaga nila manalo.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the tournament, the team\u2019s bond is now stronger than ever with hearts determined to play better, win more tournaments and when the right moment comes, represent DLSZ with pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*As of this publishing, the team is training with select DLSZ Majors Division players and will be joining the international baseball tournament, Turkey Cup to be held at the end of November. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
