One of the highlights during the virtual GradVantage Global College Fair 2022 held last January 22-23, 2022 was the various talks dubbed as #GradVersations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grades 9-12 students from various schools, including some parents, were able to get insights from these talks by renowned guest speakers namely Atty. Virgil Prieto of CliQ, Dr. Addy Garcia and Ms. Grichelle Prado of De La Salle University (DLSU), Mr. Mark Bercando of the Department of Education (DepEd) and Film and TV Director Joey Reyes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents and several college students were also on hand to share their experience and practical tips on topics such as, College Life: Preparation, Challenges and Aspiration by Reese Florendo and Anno Lavarias, \u201cScholarship Opportunities abroad for Student Athletes\u201d by Ms. Roxanne Yu, Staying on Track in Senior High School\u201d by Mrs. Ella Favis with her son, Karlo, and \u201cPreparing Financially for the Costs of a College Education\u201d by Mr. Mario Antoni Salazar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the crowd\u2019s favorites was Atty. Prieto\u2019s talk entitled, \u201cThe Personal Statement Essay: Presenting Yourself Confidently and Creatively\u201d where he shared some important tips on how to effectively create a personal statement that will help the students shine during their college application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another well-attended talk was Director Joey Reyes\u2019 \u201cThe Gen Z and the Post Pandemic Age,\u201d where he discussed important issues such as what lies ahead for the children of the digital age or the Gen Z. \u201cIt is not enough to be good. It is not enough to be the best. You have to make yourself matter!,\u201d says Direk Joey.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was indeed a fun-filled two-day event as GradVantage was the first virtual Global College Fair via a 3D platform participated in by 27 local and international universities and colleges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GradVantage Global College Fair 2022 was organized by De La Salle Santiago Zobel School and College LinkQuest and co-sponsored by PowerMac Center, MG Motors Philippines, Alveo Land Corporation and Fullybooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
