It is commonly known that we as humans are all unique and have an array of talents. So to bring light to those talents is MYRIAD, an exhibit showcasing the works of the Grade 12 Arts & Design Track of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School under the subject, Apprenticeship and Exploration in the Arts II with Mr. Marlon Fernandez. Join us this January 15, 2021 at 4:45pm through the HS SRCC\u2019s Facebook Page<\/a> to experience the heights that we can soar through art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MYRIAD <\/strong>aims to spread awareness of art and empower young artists. It is high time that we recognize the talents and potential that is yet to be unlocked within the Arts & Design Track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this exhibition, the graduating class of A&D will be featuring various works, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARMURE UTILITAIRE <\/strong>aims to promote \u201cutilitarian fashion,\u201d or utility accessories that can be worn for fashion sense and for safety purposes. This helps the wearer, especially the youth, to stay safe and protected while also expressing a side of theirs through fashion. These will be handmade by Yuan Obmasca and Gwen Caday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHIMERA<\/strong> offers a trip into the world of filmmaking. Explore the conceptualization process and experience the magic of world-building, character creation, and story writing from the eyes of the artists-authors. The exhibit will be hosted on the Artsteps platform. Viewers will be provided with a plethora of character designs (Kristine Cabrera, Mary Nebria, and Chelsea Que), costume designs (Mary Nebria), background designs (Isabella Cortez and Pablo So), storyboards (Mia Amba), and film-literature works (Isabel Castillo, Brianna Manas, and Bien Yague).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MERAKI <\/strong>is an art exhibit on existentialism through visual art pieces created by Joan Furagganan, Wade Sanga, Hannah Ruz, Megan del Rosario, Alyssa Sebastian, and Josephine Valdez. This will also be accompanied by music playlists prepared by Andy Hembrador and Mal Lucas. The exhibit will take place online, using Artsteps.com which ables to simulate the experience of a physical art exhibit, wherein all the pieces will be showcased in a room-like structure. Through this virtual reality kind of exhibition, viewers and audiences may take a dive into the inner human feelings of existentialism in an immersive audio-visual experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AROHA <\/strong>is a fundraising project organized by a group of Grade 12 Arts and Design students. AROHA <\/strong>aims to generate income from the sales of art pieces made by students, specifically for this program. The exhibit and selling will be done online, through the live feature of Facebook. This exhibit showcases visual arts through paintings by Chantal Soriano and Chelzea Tobias, and handmade miniatures by Angela Tamayo and AJ Yape. 80% of the proceeds will be donated to Reach Out and Feed Philippines Inc. This Quezon City-based organization provides COVID-19 relief funds for families in the Philippines. The students chose to create a fundraising project as they wish to utilize their talents in a way that would benefit those who are currently struggling because of the ongoing pandemic. This situation calls for compassion and call to action which puts into good use the talents and skills of our student-artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KATARSIS <\/strong>is a two-part music video production and fundraising activity specifically for a gadget donation drive by \u201cKapawa para sa Kapwa\u201d organization for students. The music videos will be circling around the topics of love and mental health and will be originally produced. Both songs are written by Zirene Umali, Instrumentals by Mary Joy Gan, Vocals by Pauline Conmigo, and Visuals by Chelsea Asuncion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EPHEMERAL <\/strong>aims to showcase the works of Dani Garcia. Its purpose is to provide an ethereal experience to its viewers and serve as a visual arts portfolio. It showcases works with various themes inspired by the rise of the “Cottagecore” aesthetic, which celebrates an idealised rural life on social media. The artworks will be showcased online through the EPHEMERAL Facebook page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AGIRU <\/strong>is a film project showcase with the purpose to provide entertainment and to serve as a film portfolio experience. It tackles concepts on technology in our contemporary society. The films will be distributed online via the Arts and Design YouTube Channel (please insert the link). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

UGNAY <\/strong>is an exhibition of making connections through event posters. This exhibit will start on January 15, 2021 wherein visitors can explore the various exhibits based on the posters that appeal to their interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feast your eyes on these exhibits and experience the ingenuity and creativity in a MYRIAD of possibilities created by the student artists of De La Salle Zobel\u2019s Arts & Design Track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
