Intercultural camaraderie and global excellence are the key things that the DLSZ students have gained in the Global Round of The World Scholar\u2019s Cup. Every year, WSC or known as The World Scholar\u2019s Cup organizes a competitive round in which best students from Regional rounds of different countries come together to compete and learn different cultures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luckily and for the first time, WSC organized a not-so mini Global Round here in Manila. It was held from September 6-11, 2019 at the Newport Theater, Resorts World Manila. DLSZ delegated 16 teams, 8 teams in the junior division and another 8 in the senior division, with a total of 48 students. Unlike in their previous round, the students did not only compete in Debate, Writing and Challenge but also, they were able to mingle with others and learn different cultures through Scholar\u2019s Ball and Cultural Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DLSZ did well academically for both Junior and Senior Divisions having Bernice Zarzuela (DLSZ 2025) as the Junior Top Scholar, a gold medal and a trophy, and Allaine Panlilio (DLSZ 2021) was named as the school\u2019s top scholar for Senior division, getting a gold medal and a trophy. Also, she was placed 5th<\/sup> in Writing for Senior division. Aside from the two, Bjorn Escalona placed 8th<\/sup> in Debate for Junior division, having gold medal and trophy respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
