Congratulations to our grade school mathletes who competed in various international competitions held this Academic Year 2018-2019.
\nAlex Gohockaun Goh (DLSZ 2025) won bronze award in the recently held International Talent Mathematics Competiton (ITMC) in Thailand last February 8-12, 2019. The said competition was the second round of the locally held ITMC.

\nMeanwhile, Johan Aldrich Kimwell (DLSZ 2027) and Joedi Costes (DLSZ 2026) for their emerged winners in the\u00a0 China Primary Mathematics Olympiad held last July 27 \u2013 August 1, 2018 in China.
\nIn the Individual Category, Aldrich won a gold medal while Joedi bagged the bronze medal. In the Team Category, Aldrich\u2019s team won the Overall Champion while Joedi\u2019s team won 2nd<\/sup> Runner up, thus winning another gold and bronze medal, respectively.

\nFurthermore, our young mathletes who competed in the International Mathematics Competition (IMC) also bagged medals and awards in Singapore last July 27 \u2013 30, 2018.
\nMatt Gerard Navarro (DLSZ 2028), Jacobson Co (DLSZ 2028), John Iain I\u00f1igo Aguada (DLSZ 2028), Joshua Milan (DLSZ 2027), Athena Gabrielle Kimwell (DLSZ 2025), and Anton Mikhail Gonzales (DLSZ 2025) became part of the Philippine team which amassed a total of 197 medals: 27 golds, 54 silvers and 116 bronzes in the 14-nation contest. The team consisting of our Filipino math wizards bested their competitors from 13 other countries to emerge as the champions in the IMC.
\nDuring the competition, Matt Gerard and Joshua bagged gold medals, which are the first golds of the DLSZ Grade School in the history of participating in this competition. I\u00f1igo and Jacobson got silver medals while Athena Gabrielle and Anton Mikhail took home bronze medals.
\nChina bagged 25 gold medals while Taiwan took home 13 golds to place second and third, followed by Vietnam and Indonesia with 12 and 10 golds, respectively.
\nThe other participating countries were Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and host Singapore.
