The Cultural Affairs Office held a summer workshop for DLSZ teachers, theater club moderators, stage managers and crew, technicians, electricians, and cameramen entitled “DLSZ TECHNICAL THEATER WORKSHOP – BEST PRACTICES AND ACTUAL APPLICATIONS” last May 31-June 2, 2017 at the Sylvia P. Lina Theater.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The aim of this workshop is to keep up-to-date with the technical aspects of lights, sounds and video in productions and to provide practical applications for live events.\u00a0 The workshop was supported by the Learning Resource Center and the Physical Facilities Office.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n
Mr. Tony Esteban Jr., our resource person,\u00a0is a theater practitioner since 1976 and has served as Technical Director and Lighting Designer in various dance concerts, special events, live thematic corporate events and entertainment shows.\u00a0 At present, he is co-writing a Training Regulation for Live Performances, in coordination with the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority).<\/div>\n
