{"id":12827,"date":"2017-03-27T08:52:43","date_gmt":"2017-03-27T00:52:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dlszobel.edu.ph\/?p=12827"},"modified":"2017-03-27T08:52:43","modified_gmt":"2017-03-27T00:52:43","slug":"dlsz-grade-school-mtap-teams-incredible-feat-in-metrobank-mtap-deped-math-challenge-team-sectoral-finals-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dlszobel.edu.ph\/index.php\/2017\/03\/27\/dlsz-grade-school-mtap-teams-incredible-feat-in-metrobank-mtap-deped-math-challenge-team-sectoral-finals-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"DLSZ GRADE SCHOOL MTAP TEAMS\u2019 INCREDIBLE FEAT IN METROBANK-MTAP-DEPED MATH CHALLENGE TEAM SECTORAL FINALS 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lots of cheers to the Grades 1-6 MTAP Teams of DLSZ for their impressive performance in the Team Sectoral Finals of the prominent\u00a0<strong>Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge 2017<\/strong>\u00a0held last March 22, 2017 in MGC New Life Christian Academy, Taguig.<br \/>\nThe teams competed with all other qualified schools in the Private Sector of the National Capital Region.<br \/>\nThe Grade 1 team members <strong>Matt Gerard Navarro <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2028)<\/strong>, <strong>Jacob Eulogio Rodriguez IV <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2028)<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Johan Gabriel Pantoni\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2028)<\/strong> were able to finish second place in the said contest after landing on a score 55 out of 60. They won silver medals and a trophy.<br \/>\nThe Grade 2 team consisting of <strong>Emmanuel Jace Savellano <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2027)<\/strong>, <strong>Gian Nicolas Casimiro <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2027)<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Aldrich Johan Kimwell<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(DLSZ 2027)<\/strong> were able to hit the seventh spot out of 29 competing schools in a score 40 out of 60.<br \/>\nThe Grade 3 team consisting of <strong>Jacob Bernas <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2026)<\/strong>, <strong>Julia Bernadette Cruz <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2026)<\/strong> and <strong>Gael Azure Ilano\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2026) <\/strong>ranked fifth out of the 16 challenging schools, and is tied with Saint Jude Catholic School in a score 53 out 60.<br \/>\nThe Grade 5 team with members <strong>Christian Gendrano <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2024)<\/strong>, <strong>John Eulogio Rodriguez III <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2024)<\/strong>, and <strong>Yohance Hayden Sarmiento<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(DLSZ 2024) <\/strong>landed seventh among the competing schools with the score 37 out of 60.<br \/>\nThe Grade 6 team members <strong>Chelsea Lianne Gomez <\/strong><strong>(DLSZ 2023)<\/strong> and <strong>Martin Johan Ocho<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(DLSZ 2023) <\/strong>made it to the seventh place out of 21 competing schools. They got a score of 47 out of 60.<br \/>\nOur MTAP Teams for Grades 1, 2, 3, and 5 are set to compete for the <strong>Team Regional Finals<\/strong> of the <strong>Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge 2017 <\/strong>on March 27, 2017 at Eusebio High School in Pasig City. The Grade 6 team will compete on the same competition on March 31, 2017 at MGC New Life Christian Academy in Taguig.<br \/>\nThey were trained by their coach,\u00a0<strong>Mr Charlie Amarela<\/strong>, under the\u00a0<strong>Goals for Excellence in Mathematics (GEM)\u00a0<\/strong>Program of the Grade School Mathematics Unit.<br \/>\nCongratulations!
