{"id":12785,"date":"2017-03-21T11:00:37","date_gmt":"2017-03-21T03:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dlszobel.edu.ph\/?p=12785"},"modified":"2017-03-21T11:00:37","modified_gmt":"2017-03-21T03:00:37","slug":"grades-1-6-mtap-teams-impressive-performance-in-metrobank-mtap-deped-math-challenge-team-area-finals-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dlszobel.edu.ph\/index.php\/2017\/03\/21\/grades-1-6-mtap-teams-impressive-performance-in-metrobank-mtap-deped-math-challenge-team-area-finals-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Grades 1-6 MTAP Teams&#039; Impressive Performance in Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge Team Area Finals 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to the Grades 1-6 MTAP Teams of DLSZ for their impressive performance in the Team Area Finals of the\u00a0<strong>Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge 2017<\/strong>\u00a0held last February 16, 2017 in MGC New Life Christian Academy, Taguig.<br \/>\nThe teams competed with at least fifteen (15) other schools in Area 3 (Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Paranaque, and Taguig).<br \/>\nThe Grade 1 team members <strong>Matt Gerard Navarro\u00a0(DLSZ 2028)<\/strong>, <strong>Jacob Eulogio Rodriguez IV\u00a0(DLSZ 2028)<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Johan Gabriel Pantoni\u00a0(DLSZ 2028)<\/strong> got bronze medals.<br \/>\nThe Grade 2 team consisting of <strong>Emmanuel Jace Savellano\u00a0(DLSZ 2027)<\/strong>, <strong>Gian Nicolas Casimiro\u00a0(DLSZ 2027)<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Aldrich Johan Kimwell<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(DLSZ 2027)<\/strong> bagged silver medals.<br \/>\nThe Grade 5 team with members <strong>Christian Gendrano\u00a0(DLSZ 2024)<\/strong>, <strong>John Eulogio Rodriguez III\u00a0(DLSZ 2024)<\/strong>, and <strong>Yohance Hayden Sarmiento<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(DLSZ 2024)<\/strong> aced the competition against their rival schools by winning the gold medals.<br \/>\nThe Grade 6 team members <strong>Chelsea Lianne Gomez\u00a0(DLSZ 2023)<\/strong> and <strong>Martin Johan Ocho<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(DLSZ 2023)<\/strong> made it to the second place after a clincher round against IMC Taguig, hence bagging the silver medals.<br \/>\nThe Grade 3 team consisting of <strong>Jacob Bernas\u00a0(DLSZ 2026)<\/strong>, <strong>Julia Bernadette Cruz<\/strong> <strong>(DLSZ 2026)\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Gael Azure Ilano\u00a0(DLSZ 2026)<\/strong> ranked 4th place and the Grade 4 team members <strong>Anton Mikhail<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Gonzales\u00a0(DLSZ 2025) <\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Chae Eun Jang\u00a0(DLSZ 2025) <\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Athena Gabrielle Kimwell\u00a0(DLSZ 2025)<\/strong> won 5th place. <strong>Jacob Bernas<\/strong> also placed <strong>7<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong> in the <strong>Sectoral Level of the Individual Category<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe MTAP teams for Grades 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 are set to compete for the <strong>Team Sectoral Finals<\/strong> of the <strong>Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge 2017 <\/strong>on March 22, 2017.<br \/>\nThey were trained by their coach,\u00a0<strong>Mr. Charlie Amarela<\/strong>, under the\u00a0<strong>Goals for Excellence in Mathematics (GEM)\u00a0<\/strong>Program of the Grade School Mathematics Unit.<br \/>\nCongratulations! Way to go, Grade School mathletes!
