St. Br. Miguel Febres Cordero Arts Scholarship

The St. Br. Miguel Febres Cordero Arts Scholarship is open to incoming Grade 9 to Grade 12 students who exhibit exceptional talent in music, theater, dance, visual arts, and publications.

Eligibility

For the student to be qualified for this scholarship, he/she must meet the following criteria:

  1. must have at least one-year residency in De La Salle Santiago Zobel School
  2. excel in any of the following: performing arts, visual arts, or school publications during the previous school years which can be supported with documented performances, published articles, portfolios, and other proof of achievements
  3. obtain the following grade requirements:

3.1.  General Weighted Average of 83% or above with no grade lower than 80% in any subject during any term

3.2.   Conduct/Homeroom/Club Activity grade of at least B (80-84) in every term

  1. must have a Very Satisfactory rating in the evaluation given by the group moderator and a recommendation from the Cultural Arts Head (Visual and Performing Arts), Music Coordinator (Music Group), or AdComm Unit Head (Publications)

Application Procedure:

Reminder: The SFAPs Committee will only process scholarship applications made online.  

1. Log-in to DLSZ Family Portal to access the online application form.

2. Fill out the online application form and click “Submit”. You must receive an email containing confirmation of submission and further instructions to pursue the application. If you do not receive the confirmation email, kindly email scholarship@dlszobel.edu.ph.

3. Upload the following required documents:

  • Letter of Intent from the Parents/Guardians of the Applicant expressing interest and reasons for the application
  • Copy of the student’s current report card
  • Applicant’s list of achievements with proofs such as copies of their previously published works, photos of performances, portfolios, certificates, etc. 
  • one 2×2 photo (for new applicants only)
  • Moderator’s recommendation letter (Recommendations are to be processed directly by the moderators concerned and the Scholarship Office)

NOTE: 

  • To be given a grade in attendance, a member should not incur more than 5% of the total number of practices and performances.
  • If the grantee exceeds the maximum allowable absence for performances and practices during the academic year and/or obtains Conduct/Homeroom/ Club Activity lower than B, he/she will not be eligible for this scholarship next academic year
  • If the grantee withdraws enrollment at any point during the school year, he/she must pay the remaining balance of the grant for the rest of the academic year
