DLSZ Swimmers Bag Medals, Set Philippine Records in Palarong Pambansa

DLSZ takes pride in four of its swimmers who represented the National Capital Region (NCR) in the concluded 2015 PALARONG PAMBANSA which was held in Tagum City, Davao del Norte last May 6-9, 2015.
MAURICE SACHO ILUSTRE (DLSZ 2018) – secured seven (7) gold medals and six (6) new Philippine records. He was named Most Valuable Player for Boys – Secondary Level.

GOLD – 400 m freestyle
GOLD & New Record Established – 200 m freestyle
GOLD & New Record Established – 200 m butterfly
GOLD & New Record Established – 100 m butterfly
GOLD & New Record Established – 800 m freestyle
GOLD & New Record Established – 4×100 m medley relay
GOLD & New Record Established – 4x 100 m freestyle

KARA MENDOZA (DLSZ 2020) – bagged two (2) golds and one (1) bronze medals.

BRONZE – 50m  Freestyle
GOLD – Medley relay ( Kara swam the anchor position for team NCR )
GOLD – Freestyle relay ( Kara swam the anchor position for team NCR and set a new Philippine record )

SETH ISAAK MARTIN (DLSZ 2021) – got seven (7) gold medals and set five (5) Philippine records. He likewise secured the MVP award for the Elementary Boys Division.

50m Backstroke – Gold, New Palaro Record, New Junior National Record
100m Backstroke – Gold, New Palaro Record
200m Medley Relay – Gold, New Palaro Record
400m Medley Relay – Gold, New Palaro Record
200m Individual Medley – Gold

NICOLE PAMINTUAN (DLSZ 2019) – secured seven (7) golds and set three (3) National Records. She was named MVP for High School girls.

In addition, our very own swimmers once again dominated the PHILIPPINE NATIONAL GAMES held in Rizal last July 3,4 and 5.
MAURICE SACHO ILUSTRE – seven (7) Gold Medals and made it to both the Phil Star and Inquirer sports section.
NICOLE PAMINTUAN – four (4) Golds
YURI ILUSTRE (DLSZ 2018) – three (3) Golds, one (1) Silver and one (1) Bronze
DLSZ swimmers are set to compete in the coming UAAP as they try to secure the championship crowns from Ateneo Boys and UST Girls.
Furthermore, the Lasallian community focuses on supporting Sacho IlustreSeth Martin, and Nicole Pamintuan for swimming; and Samantha Borlain (DLSZ 2020) for triathlon to make the 2019 South East Asian Games and the 2020 Olympics.
