De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) has led the One La Salle Yolanda Rehabilitation and Recovery Project in Trinidad Elementary School, Trinidad, Tubabao, Guiuan, Eastern Samar with the sponsorship of De La Salle Philippines (DLSP). This project became possible with the immense support of our students, Lasallian Partners, and generous sponsors.
DLSZ, with the assistance of DLSP and other private organizations/sectors, will be constructing a four-classroom building in Trinidad Elementary School. According to Mr. Jayjay Jacinto, DLSZ’s Social Action Office Head, the rehabilitation project will also address improvements on the areas of learning, instruction, and community/student life.
The Memorandum of Agreement between DLSZ and Trinidad Elementary School was signed last July 1, 2014 in Guiuan, Eastern Samar with Br. Jayjay Jimenez FSC.
During the team’s week-stay in Guiuan, they have already conducted the community partnership workshop with the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Of Trinidad Elementary School and the Barangay Council as well. They had also made a courtesy call to the Vice Mayor of Guiuan, the Parish Priest, and the District Supervisor of the Department of Education in Guiuan.
DLSZ will update the community on the latest development regarding this project.
