DLSZ Launches Kiss of Hope Project

De La Salle Santiago Zobel School launches Kiss of Hope Project which aims to collect enough lipstick and other cosmetic items including perfumes and colognes and help boost the confidence of the public school teachers in the areas affected by Typhoon Yolanda. For them, wearing lipstick is a sign that they are recovering from the trauma brought by Typhoon Yolanda.
Br. Armin Luistro FSC, Department of Education Secretary, urges everyone to donate new or unused lipsticks and preloved perfumes or colognes to the public school teachers affected by Yolanda to regain their confidence and motivate them to return to their duties.  As one teacher admitted to the good Secretary during one of his visits in the area, “they feel good if they look good”.
Br. Armin hopes that classes in the hardest-hit areas of Visayas will resume as soon as possible in the best makeshift structure that their communities could build. “Having a makeshift classroom is a way of telling children that the school is still here, that their teacher is still there and she even has lipstick on,” he stated.
If you can hand down your “nearly new” lipsticks, perfumes and/or colognes, please leave them at the Development and Communications Office located at the Second Floor of the St. Mutien Marie Building.
Send KISSES to Visayas! Support DLSZ’s Kiss of Hope Project!
