Daniella Kristin Marie R. Evan (DLSZ 2016) and Carlos Benedict F. Echevarria (DLSZ 2015) received Silver and Bronze awards, respectively in the recently concluded 9th IMC International Mathematics Contest held in Singapore last August 2 – 5, 2013.
Danielle and Carlos were part of the Philippine team that won first place overall in the 2013 IMC, ending the winning streak of China. Prior to the 9th IMC, China had dominated the said competition for several straight years.
All in all, the Philippines contingent won a total of 161 medals at the IMC: 23 gold, 45 silver, and 93 bronze medals. China won 153 medals which placed them at second while Singapore placed third with 124 medals.
