Luntiang Binhi Publication (LBP), the official student publication of Br. Rafael Donato Night High School (BRafeNHS) brought home another recognition for the school as its student-journalists bagged two medals in the recently concluded Department of Education’s Regional Secondary Schools Press Conference (DepEd’s RSSPC) last September 29 to October 13 at St. Mary’s, Caloocan City.
Elizabeth Dequiña (V-B St. Zita) emerged as fifth place in News Writing (Filipino category) making her as one of the representatives of National Capital Region (NCR) for the above-mentioned category in the National Secondary Press Conference (NSPC) to be held in April 2013, Ormoc, Leyte.
Furthermore, Angel Loh Cantillo, (III- St. Cyprian) ranked ninth place in Copyreading and Headlining (English category).
The contest was participated in by more than 300 both public and private NCR schools.
Other LBP delegates were Elijah Felice Rosales, John Kevin A. Pilarca (both V-B St. Zita), Donna Faye Baltazar (IV-A St. Ireneaus), Nica Bangcuyo (7-C St. Bernadette), and Rejay Embodo (III-B St. Eusebius).
Mr. Mark Anthony V. Bercando, LBP adviser, trained and accompanied the participants in the contest.
