Our very own DLSZ Taekwondo Varsity competed and brought home medals in several national competitions. These competitions were participated in by more than 2,000 taekwondo athletes from all over the Philippines. The competitions featured both forms (poomsae) and sparring (kyorugi) in different belt, age and weight categories.
The winners are:
1. Batang Pinoy Championships held last August 25-30, 2019 in Puerto Princesa, Palawan;
- Jhon Lorielay Perez (BrafeNHS 2023) – Bronze, Juniors Boys Blackbelt
2. MVP Best of the Best Championships held last October 20, 2019 at Ayala Malls, Manila Bay, Pasay City;
- Ezekiel Vincent Joson (BrafeNHS 2021) – Bronze, Juniors Boys Blackbelt
3. 2019 National Taekwondo Championships held last November 9-10, 2019 at Ayala Malls, Manila Bay, Pasay City.
- James Emmanuelle Macasaet (DLSZ 2021) – Gold, Juniors Girls Blackbelt
- Chelsea Lianne Gomez (DLSZ 2023) – Silver, Cadet Girls Blackbelt
- Sandro Blardony (DLSZ 2025) – Bronze, Cadet Boys Novice 1
- Nicolas Aaron Castillo (DLSZ 2023) – Bronze, Cadet Boys Blackbelt
- Ryu Hizume (DLSZ 2023) – Bronze, Cadet Boys Blackbelt
- Carlos Martin Valencia (DLSZ 2022) – Bronze, Juniors Boys Novice 2
- Amanda Reign Ramos (DLSZ 2028) – Gold, Grade School Girls Novice 1; Bronze, Grade School Girls Poomsae
- Enrique Armando Ilas (DLSZ 2027) – Silver, Grade School Boys Novice 2
- Maria Natalia Ilas (DLSZ 2028) – Bronze, Grade School Girls Novice 1, Semi-Finalist, Poomsae
