DLSZ Girls Swim Team Dominates WNCAA Swim Event

Last February 4, 2018, the De La Salle Santiago Zobel Juniors Girls Swim Team once again dominated the WNCAA swim event by getting its third consecutive championship. The event was held at the San Beda Alabang Aquatic Centre in Muntinlupa City. The event was participated in by 10 schools including powerhouse and host, San Beda Alabang.

The DLSZ girls dominated the event by getting 225 points, a large margin from its closest competitor San Beda who only secured a total of 93 points. Our girls came home with 27 Gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals. The team was lead by three-time UAAP MVP Nicole Meah Pamintuan (DLSZ 2019), getting much-needed support from sisters Angela Shannen (DLSZ 2020) and Kirsten Robyn Tan (DLSZ 2023), Kayleen Zakia Keh (DLSZ 2021), Juliana Marion Burgos (DLSZ 2019), Chrystelle Alina Reyes (DLSZ 2021), Dylan Marie Tangan (DLSZ 2019), Milcah Therese Mina (DLSZ 2020), Raven Faith Alcoseba (DLSZ 2021), Bela Louise Magtibay (DLSZ 2020), Kara Angelica Mendoza (DLSZ 2020), Jana Kim Frauline Gail Del Rosario (DLSZ 2025) and Team Captain Jana Cassandra Laurian (DLSZ 2018).

The DLSZ girls likewise were successful in defending their UAAP crown last October 2017 with Nicole Pamintuan once again the MVP awards and breaking 6 UAAP records. The boys had a good season 80 also by getting a second finish trailing UST by only three points. Graduating swimmer Maurie Sacho Ilustre (DLSZ 2018) once again got the MVP awards and likewise broke six UAAP records.
