DLSZ HAULS MAJOR AWARDS IN WSC – TOC

Hats off to our DLSZ delegates for bringing home 13 major awards in the World Scholars Cup-Tournament of Champions (WSC-TOC) held on November 10 – 14, 2017 at Yale University, Connecticut, U.S.A.

Hosted by the Yale International Relations Association, the world competition of academic champions assembled the victors of Global Round Competitions of Hanoi Vietnam, Athens Greece, Cape Town South Africa for the final showdown of wits.

Our very own champions fearlessly took up the gauntlet and snatched the following accolades:

The champions underwent acid tests that comprised four events namely Individual and Team Debate, Individual and Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Bowl – Online Quiz Bee, Scholar’s Challenge – Written Test in Literature, Arts & Music, Special Area, Social Studies, Science, and World History.

The world competition allows participants to discover their unknown strengths and skills. It focuses on bringing students from different cultures together to discuss issues and ideas relevant today and the future.

The DLSZ contingent was led by Ms. Adrienne Victoria Zaballero, SHS English Faculty, and Erudite Club Moderator.
