De La Salle Santiago Zobel School would like to congratulate Paul Benjamin R. Natividad (DLSZ 2012) for winning 1st Place and being awarded Best Interpretation of the Contest Piece in the National Music Competition for Young Artists – Senior Strings Category, held on November 21, 2017 at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Paul Natividad is a prided alumni of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, and has developed from student cellist to a wonderful musician and has been featured as a soloist in several string concerts. He began his musical journey with the cello in sixth grade, joined the DLSZ Strings in seventh grade, proceeding to become cello principal player in 2010 under the baton of Mr. Leopoldo Sumera Jr. One of Paul’s main source of strength and inspiration is DLSZ’s very own violin teacher, and Paul’s mother, Ms. Ruby Natividad. His teachers and peers describe Mr. Natividad as efficient, responsible, and hard-working.
Further, Paul has completed his units in Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance at St. Scholastica’s College, Manila and is set to graduate on June 2018.
