  1. DepEd VISIT

The division and regional offices of the Department of Education (DepEd) sent representatives to do an ocular inspection on May 16, 2017 – 10 days earlier than the original schedule. Upon completion of the site visit, the head of the visiting team informed the school that there was no need for another inspection. For official documentation, copies of purchase orders of materials and supplies for the campus will be submitted to DepEd Imus.

  1. CLASS SCHEDULE

Upon review of DLSZ’s curricular offerings, DepEd Imus recommended that class hours in Vermosa begin at 8:15 am and end at 4:30 pm.

  1. THURSDAY IS CLUB ACTIVITY DAY

Aside from being the Club Activity Day, Thursday is also considered Day 0 in the 6-day learning cycle. Club and organization activities shall take place in the Alabang Campus. All SHS students will leave Vermosa for Alabang at 2:15 pm.
Students will ride their respective yellow vans and shuttle service in going to the Alabang Campus. Others will have to be fetched from Vermosa and brought to Alabang by their fetchers and carpool.

  1. ATHLETES IN THE VARSITY TEAMS

During their PE time, students who are members of the varsity teams are required to engage in independent learning inside the Learning Resource Center in the Vermosa campus. School personnel will be with the athletes during this period.

  1. VARSITY TRAINING

Student-athletes’ training is scheduled at 5:30 pm in the campus where the best facilities are. As of the moment, the training of athletes of batted sports (baseball, softball and golf) and fencing will be held outside the Alabang Campus. Baseball and softball will have theirs in Alabang Country Club, golf in Southpoint and fencing in ULTRA.
SHS students will ride their respective yellow vans and shuttle service in going to Alabang for their training as is done on Thursdays. Others will have to be fetched from Vermosa and brought to Alabang by their fetchers and carpool.

  1. PERFORMING ARTS PRACTICES

Practices will be held in the Alabang Campus on Thursdays after Club Time. If necessary, Saturday rehearsals may be scheduled by their respective moderators.

  1. MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION

A student may use a private car, take part in a carpool, ride a yellow van or take the shuttle service going to and from Vermosa.

a. RECOGNIZED TRANSPORT SERVICE PROVIDERS (RTSP) OR YELLOW VAN
OPERATORS

The RTSP or yellow van operators are grouped according to cluster or area.
They have been instructed to dedicate vehicles that will exclusively serve
Vermosa students. Kindly transact directly with the operators assigned to
your residential area. The clustering scheme and the monthly fee have been
reviewed by the Campus Services Office Head, Director of Administrative
Services, and designated officers of the Parents Association. Kindly
contact the Campus Services Office at 771DLSZ local 320 or 324 for the list
of operators, their areas, and monthly rates.

There are operators who are amenable to pick up students in an identified
depot inside the subdivision. This is true for BF Homes Subdivision in
Parañaque. Kindly ask your operator if this is something workable in your
area.

b. SHUTTLE SERVICE

Since the initial survey to parents was rolled out in November 2016, it was
identified that coasters will be used by the students since this is the
only big vehicle that can be granted access to the Champaca Gate. Since the
Champaca Gate, as of now, is not accessible to non-residents, the shuttle
service will now exit through Acacia and take Daang Hari Road going to
Vermosa. Due to this news, the shuttle services to be used are brand new
60-seater buses.

This is a two-way, ten-month arrangement that costs P4,000 per month. The
buses will be exclusively assigned to DLSZ. These will be parked in Vermosa
during the day and will be in the Alabang Campus at night. During the Open
House on May 27 and 30, the bus will be available for use.

During the first two weeks of classes, the administration deems it best to
first gather all the SHS students inside the Alabang Campus before going to
Vermosa. Certain administrators will orient the students regarding the
shuttle service during the first few days of classes. As such, students who
are non-Ayala Alabang Village residents may first take the DLSZ bus in
going inside the campus where the shuttle service is waiting. There will be
DLSZ buses that will leave McDo ATC at 6:20, 6:45 and 7:10 am. In the
afternoon, these buses will wait for the SHS students and leave the Alabang
Campus for McDo ATC at 5:30 and 5:45 pm.

c. TRANSPORTATION PRE-REGISTRATION FORM

Students whose parents have accomplished the Pre-Registration Form sent out
via Family Portal last month are assured of seats in the shuttle. Those who
wish to avail of the shuttle service must accomplish the Pre-Registration
Form . Deadline is on Friday, June 2.

Transportation Service Contracts, information on payment procedures and
other related documents shall be given during the Parents Orientation on
June 6, 2017.
