Congratulations to Chelsea Lianne T. Gomez (DLSZ 2023), Jaden Coen D.C. Reyes (DLSZ 2023), Martin Johan M. Ocho (DLSZ 2023) AND Ma. Tricia Jasmin M. Ocho (DLSZ 2025) for having won several awards during the 2017 MATH LEAGUE National Competition held last April 18, 2017 at the MGC New Life Christian Academy, Taguig City.
It is the first implementation of the said competition in the Philippines and several public and private schools nationwide participated. The competition spans from the Individual Category consisting of Number Sense Test, Target Test, and Sprint Test to the Team Category.
For the Individual Category, Chelsea Lianne won 9th Place while Martin Johan won 5th Place in the Upper Primary Division.
For the Team Category, the team composed of Chelsea Lianne, Jaden Coen, Martin Johan, and Tricia Jasmin won 2nd Place from among all teams in the entire competition. Overall, they won 5 medals and a trophy.
Chelsea Lianne and Martin Johan are invited to join the Worldwide Competition of Math League in Houston, Texas on June 24, 2017.
They were trained by their coach, Mr. Charlie Y. Amarela under the Goals for Excellence in Mathematics (GEM) Program.
