#DLSZFlipped: Where Students Learn Differently

In DLSZ, deepening of lessons will continue even while the students are not on campus. DLSZ will sustain its Next Generation Blended Learning by flipping classrooms. Flipped classroom is an instructional strategy and a type of blended learning that reverses the traditional educational arrangement by delivering in advance, instructional content, often online, outside of the classroom. This activity will mean that DLSZ will not have to make up for school days that will be missed because of APEC.
Our country is hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM). The national government, through the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), suspended classes in all levels from November 17-20, 2015 for this purpose.
Students will be expected to work on, and complete tasks that will be given immediately before or during the APEC Week. These task sheets will be handed to them on November 16. These may also be accessed online through the School’s Notes and Homeworks Site (NHS). The activities will be formative in nature and will serve as preparation for the lesson validation and summative assessments that will be given when regular classes resume on Nov. 23, 2015.
