PEARL: iPad Purchase and Device Insurance

MLD Purchase
For parents looking to purchase Mobile Learning Devices (MLD) for the PEARL program, PowerMac Center will be in the campus from April 23 to 25 and again from April 28 to 30, 2014 to take down orders for iPads at discounted prices.  The order form/price list may also be downloaded here and emailed to academy@powermaccenter.com or vincent.dominno@powermaccenter.com before April 30, 2014.  Claiming of orders will be from May 5 to 9, 2014 from 8am to 4pm.

Parents may also place their order from May 5 to May 9. However, claiming of units for this second batch will be from May 14 to 16, 2014.

Update: There are limited stocks of iPads available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis at the PowerMac booth.

Device Insurance
Starting AY 2014-2015, DLSZ will no longer require and arrange for the insurance coverage of the students’ Mobile Learning Devices (MLDs). Parents may avail of coverage from any insurance firm offering their services. The school has also invited some to set up booths during enrollment for inquiries.

Classes Suspended on Monday, October 14, 2013

As announced by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Education (DepEd), classes are suspended Monday, October 14, 2013 in several cities in Metro Manila, including Muntinlupa City.

Kindergarten and Grade One Open House moved to October 19, 2013

Due to the heavy rain brought by Typhoon Santi, the Kindergarten and Grade One Open House scheduled for tomorrow, October 12 will be moved to next Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:00am.

Online Viewing of First Term Grades (AY 2013-2014) Available on Oct.10

The online viewing of First Term Grades for all levels begins tomorrow, October 10, 2013.

Those who wish to talk to the teachers may attend the Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 8:00 am to 12:00 nn. The teachers will no longer be available in the afternoon.

To view your children’s grades:

  1. Log on to the Family Portal (http://family.dlszobel.edu.ph)
  2. Click on the ‘View Grades’ button.
  3. You may be asked to edit and verify your contact details. After doing so, press ‘Confirm’ to continue.
  4. Your child’s grades will appear on-screen. read more »

Muntinlupa City  has declared class suspensions in pre-school, elementary and high school today, September 23, 2013 due to the inclement weather.

PEARL: iOS 7 is here. Do not update yet.

Update: As a workaround in case students have upgraded their iPads to iOS7, they can delete the DLSZ eReader app and redownload it from the App Store.  The ebooks may also be redownloaded upon log in with the reader app.
